At Herb & Honey Naturals, our formulations are guided by intention, restraint, and respect for the skin.
Every ingredient is chosen for a purpose. Every omission is just as deliberate.

Our Approach to Formulation
We believe skincare should support the skin, not overwhelm it.
Our products are made slowly, in small batches, using thoughtfully sourced ingredients and time-honored apothecary methods. We prioritize quality over convenience and integrity over trends - never rushing processes or adding unnecessary components for texture, scent, or shelf appeal.
Each formula is created to be effective, gentle, and deeply supportive of the skin’s natural balance.
Ingredient Integrity
We believe true quality lives in sourcing, formulation, and craftsmanship - not paperwork.
While our finished products are not certified organic, we intentionally source certified organic botanicals, oils, and butters whenever available.
In rare cases where an organic option does not exist - such as certain minerals, salts, or functional ingredients - we thoughtfully select the highest-quality alternative. Our focus is always on purity, integrity, and ingredient transparency.
This means prioritizing:
Our herbs are slowly infused - never heat-processed - allowing them to release their therapeutic compounds naturally over time. By protecting the integrity of both the plant and the oil, we preserve what makes them effective in the first place.
We believe the skin recognizes real ingredients - and responds accordingly.
What We Choose to Leave Out
Our formulations are intentionally free from ingredients commonly found in conventional and even “clean-labeled” skincare. We work exclusively with whole, unrefined, plant-based materials - never synthetics or lab manufactured substitutes.

Why This Matters
Many of these ingredients are used to improve shelf life, texture, scent, or visual appeal - not because they benefit the skin. By choosing to exclude them entirely, we allow our formulations to remain gentle, supportive, and compatible with sensitive and compromised skin, while honoring the integrity of our slow-infused herbs and unrefined oils.
How We Formulate Instead

Everything chosen with care.
No Fragrance. No Essential Oils. On Purpose.
We do not use synthetic fragrance or essential oils - by design, not by omission.
While commonly added for scent, both can be sensitizing and may interfere with the skin’s natural barrier and healing response. Essential oils, though plant-derived, are highly concentrated extracts that can be irritating for many skin types when applied topically.
Instead, we allow the plants themselves to speak.
The natural aroma of our products comes solely from the herbs and unrefined oils within - soft, grounding, and true to the plant. Nothing is added to mask, overpower, or override the skin’s needs.
