Double Slow Infused is our herbal infusion process.

We double-slow infuse our favorite premium organic cold-pressed, unrefined oils and ethically/ responsibly harvested, high quality organic herbs not once but TWICE for a total of 12 weeks! The result? A potent and powerful medicinal herbal oil

Slow cold infusions are superior and most therapeutic since they are not exposed to heat which can destroy or degrade the benefits of both the oils and the herbs. By not exposing our oils and herbs to heat, they retain most if not all of the natural active ingredients so you are getting a product with all of the amazing healing properties!

We don’t just stop at making sure our products are free of harmful chemicals we make sure that we use packaging that doesn’t reintroduce the very same chemicals we avoided during production.

We use lead free glass, BPA free plastic (only when absolutely necessary).

Also, when you order one of our products you ALWAYS have the option to reduce waste by selecting the appropriate box during the item ordering process.   We can ship your product selections in boxes that are suitable for display or gift-giving or we can eliminate ALL unnecessary boxes, fillers, etc.

The Herb & Honey Naturals "Read & Seed" process is something that we are super proud of.  Our product identification and information cards that are included in your order are printed on flower seed paper.  You can literally read the sheets and then plant them and wildflowers will grow!   The flower seed papers are handmade, earth friendly, tree-free and truly environmentally responsible.  Supplied to us by Of The Earth.

All of our products are handcrafted in small batches on the coast of Maine, made with clean premium organic ingredients that are provided by nature.

A lot of brands don’t care what goes in their products. At Herb & Honey we do which is why we create simple and effective products for a healthy toxin free lifestyle.

We are committed to bringing you products that are pure and safe which is why we NEVER use artificial colors, fragrance or “parfum”, parabens, mineral oils or any other harsh hard-to-pronounce chemicals.

Our products are always safe for you, your family and our planet.

We do not use essential oils leaving our products naturally scented. They are however, compatible with essential oils so if you’d prefer you can scent your products at home!

First and foremost, and in all good conscience, I just can not  justify the use of essential oils in my products AND be passionate about sustainable harvesting. It is so important to only take from our natural resources in a manner that does not deplete or damage the resource for our future generations.

That being said…essential oils take HUNDREDS of pounds of plant material to make one TINY bottle of essential oil. Essential oils are powerful and medicinal when respected and used responsibly. I believe in their ability to heal and address specific concerns with great success. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love using them in some of my home practices. I think using them modestly in moderation for your self and/or family and not in commercial production is best for everyone including Mother Nature.

At Herb & Honey, it’s not the best choice. For many reasons.

Let’s think about the amount of essential oils I could SAFELY add to each batch and how that breaks down to each individual jar of product. You’d be getting a small amount of drops and not enough to actually compliment the product or benefit your skin (In my opinion).

Speaking of safety…

Proper dilution and use of essential oils is a MUST. I am an Herbalist NOT a trained and certified aromatherapist. My knowledge about essential oils isn’t where it should be to confidently bring you the correct dilution rates, proper usage, and best blends of essential oils for maximum effectiveness. There are many documented cases of burns, rashes and sensitivity with both PROPER and IMPROPER use of oils.

There is even some evidence pointing in the direction of essential oils being far too strong and thereby causing more harm than good in some cases.

Essential oils can also pose a problem for those with allergies and sensitive skin. Just because an essential oil is non irritating or safe for one person doesn’t mean it will be for the next.

I want our products to be accessible, affordable (essential oils increase the price of products) and be able to be used by EVERYONE.

 Our products are formulated to be compatible with essential oils so feel free to add what you want to make your sniffer happy or to add a more specific benefit for you.

It is so important to me to bring you the safest, most natural form of skin-care possible using ingredients from nature that have been proven to work for centuries. The same ingredients you would have found in the kitchens and homes of your ancestors.
